On July 25th The Dreaming Spires release their new single "Everything All The Time" on Clubhouse Records, a rousing, anthemic slice of pure unadulterated rock n' roll that instantly has all the makings of a classic. The single will be available from all the popular download platforms as well as a limited edition 7 inch vinyl which will be available from selected independent record shops, including the Truck Store and Truck Festival and here in our shop.

The band bursts fresh out of the box with an enviable musical pedigree. Group members - and brothers - Robin and Joe Bennett were formally of Goldrush and Danny & the Champions of the World while new single Everything All The Time (and B Side In Our Lifetimes) was produced by Supergrass producer (and Oxford based) Sam Williams. The band are skillfully aided by Loz Colbert of Ride on drums, making the guys something of an Oxford supergroup. This concoction has produced a breakout single which has you hooked from the first chord, taking in the heady vibe of Laurel Canyon via the harmonies of the Everlys (and giving a respectful nod to Tom Petty all the while). This is Americana at its finest; not so much foot-tapping as dancing with abandon. “Everything All The Time is the first single to be released from The Dreaming Spires upcoming album (due out in October) and sets the scene for what promises to be an exceptional offering from a band who create music that fuses the warmth and energy of west-coast America with the spirit and heritage of their beloved home town of Oxford.

At the end of May, The Dreaming Spires debuted some of their new tracks at Wood Festival, which went down a storm with the audience who demanded no less than three encores from the band. To mark the release of this single, The Dreaming Spires will be performing a handful of much-anticipated shows around the South of England. All dates will be with Two Fingers of Firewater and James Walbourne. The full dates are listed below:

Mon 4th July Americana Independence Day at The Lexington, London  Tickets £6 advance

Tues 5th July South Street Arts Centre, Reading £5 advance

Thurs 7th July Prince Albert, Trafalgar St, Brighton £6 advance

Fri 8th July The Boileroom, Stokefields, Guildford £6 advance

What the UK Press have to say:

"Robin and Joe's new hugely melodic incarnation Dreaming Spires" John Niven, Q

"The Bennett's current collaboration pays homage to American rock idols like Big Star, with Byrdsy harmonies and charming accents" Time Out New York

"Robin and Joe finally take their turn in the spotlight around midnight with their new band Dreaming Spires. Their tremulous, hugely melodic pop is well worth the wait too: Big Star by way of Gram Parsons and Teenage Fanclub." The Independent

"I Love this record!" Bob Harris OBE
