The Hi and Lo

The Hi and Lo are two musicians and a boot full of instruments. They play stripped down original roots music. Since making their first appearance in 2008 playing Bob Dylan songs in the rain the duo have found themselves playing venues as prestigious as The Sage in Gateshead and have shared stages with the likes of Roseanne Cash, Pete Molinari and Justin Townes Earle.

Redlands 2

The Redlands Palomino Company

After a two-year break from touring, the UK’s Redlands Palomino Company are set to release their third album, Don’t Fade, in Spring 2011 on Clubhouse Records. Like their first two albums – the critically acclaimed By The Time You Hear This (2004) and Take Me Home (2007) – it features the trademark harmonies and heartfelt songwriting of husband-and-wife partnership Hannah and Alex Elton-Wall. Recorded in rural Wiltshire and the Wye Valley in a relaxed and laidback environment over the past 18 months, the album was produced by Alex Elton-Wall and features ten new songs as well as a cover of The Dillards’ country rock classic One A.M.

Two Fingers of Firewater

At the back end of 2007 Two Fingers of Firewater spent the winter locked away in their own studio, a converted chiller unit of a local strawberry farm, rehearsing and recording eleven original numbers as well as the traditional bluegrass song 'Satan, Your Kingdom Must Come Down' which make up the bands’ debut album.

The Cedars 2011 1

The Cedars

A UK based Alt-Americana quartet, with soaring vocals, infectious rhythms and blasts of slide guitar and banjo. Plying tales of lost love, revenge and rural homicide, The Cedars manage to straddle the divide between the dancehalls of the 20's and 30's and today’s happening roots and folk scene.   The Cedars played a host of festivals in 2010 including Glastonbury and Truck and relocated to California to record their debut album ‘Little Copper Still’ with Ramblin’ Jack Elliott’s producer Ian Brennan.
